We were just children, there were three of us, my 2 Aunts and I. We were sitting in a lawn swing that evening, as usual. [No TV back then] We saw a huge object, like a moon, golden in color, move in a south to north direction. It was not moving at a high rate of speed, but was moving quite smoothly. We sat in awe as it disappeared out of sight, then fright set in and we grabbed our youngest member and ran to the house. Strangely, we never mentioned any thing to my grandmother and grandfather, also we never discussed what we saw, not until about a year and a half ago. We were kids, I was about 6 or 7, one Aunt was about 10, the other was about 3 or 4. When we did talk about it everything was remembered exactly alike, which came as a bit of a shock after so many years, also was a bit frightening. The youngest Aunt remembers nothing as her back was toward the object. The object was larger than the full moon looks when it is on the horizon, fairly deep gold color, and moved at the speed at which you could move your head from right to left, fairly rapidly, our heads were at a 45% angle watching it. No idea of the height. I never heard of anything like it until 10 or so years later. As I said we never mentioned anything to anyone until about a year and a half ago, then it was just because I wanted to verify that I didn't dream this. I called my Aunt and started to ask about the event and she went right on as if it were me talking about the thing, so it wasn't a dream. What we can't figure out is WHY we never told any one, and waited so long to talk about it.
