Details of Incident:

I'm 48 now, I was 17 when this happened. I tried to tell others but no one seemed to believe me or care so I put it in the back of my mind, but I've always since then have been interested in sci-fi and ufo's. Anyway, it was a clear day, not a cloud in the sky, I worked in my dads service garage (Bager Radiator) out on Hwy 26 by Mr. Keeys root beer stand, past the out cemetary, now I think there's a golf course across the street for were I used to live. Well anyway (I seem to be running from the store this is a lot harder to write than I thought it would be) but, I was working on a car that had my concentration, I went inside to get a cup of coffee and come out the back door headed for the garage thinking of what was I to do this car thats giving me so much trouble. So I'm thinking of that and I look up in the sky and above the field behind our garage maybe 200 ft above the ground and 200 ft back was a round metal object with a row of what looked like round windows and they were spinning separate from the craft just up from the middle, didn't make a sound. I remember thinking "thats funny, that looks a lot like the ship on that show "Lost in Space". It wasn't going very fast at seemed to almost hover at looed(?) as if it might fall out of the sky if it didn't pick up speed, it was very clear, very visible, it was early after noon, but I was thinking about that car in I put my head down and walked in to the shop with this picture still stuck in my head, and I was trying to get past it but I couldn't let the thought go. My dad started to ask me about the car and I couldn't hear him or what he was talking about because I was thinking of that ship, so I spotted my dad and said hold on I got see if what I think I saw was really there. I walked quickly to back of the shop to look out the window, cause I knew it wasn't going fast enough to gone from site, but I couldn't see it. Dad says what the hell are you doing? I said I think I saw something in the sky, and I ran to the front of the shop where I entered and looked up and around all over it was very open there I should have been able to see it still but it was gone!! Dad said what did you see? I said I think it was a space ship! Dad just looked at me and looked up and said its gone now huh, and that was it we acted almost like it never happened. I didn't really understand why, felt like I shouldn't say anything to anybody about it, but someone else must have it! My house was only about a half mile from town! If you might have seen this please email me! Thanks, Bill
