Details of Incident:

I think I may have found the year that this occurred by browsing your site. This incident has always "haunted" me because I couldn't remember the year. After seeing the report for Eagle, I think this may be the one. I was 17 in 1972 and my boyfriend and I were driving around somewhere east of Janesville one summer night. Over the years I've forgotten the precise details but I still remember this: That we noticed some odd lights in the sky so we pulled over and parked the car in order to watch. We were in the country and at some distance from this event.

There seemed to be a central object that hovered in one place. At least two other objects, that seemed to change colors, were darting around at different angles: 45 degree, horizontally, and up and down at speeds that changed from slow to very fast. This seemed impossible because there was nothing that was known to fly like those objects did. I remember at one point the others came up to the central one & it grew brighter and seemed to shoot a beam of light straight down to the ground. At some point, they all shot off in different directions and disappeared.

My boyfriend was very afraid and wanted to leave, but I was very excited and wanted to stay. (I won) I remember hollering for "them" to "come over here" where we were! Of course that was silly, but I was thrilled to see what I took to be evidence of extra terrestrials. I didn't know who to report it to, so I never did. I do remember seeing in the paper a day or two later that UFO sightings were reported in the Lake Geneva area, so I figured that was what we had seen. I suppose it was enough to know that our sighting had been confirmed by other people. Over the years I forgot what year it happened & some of the details have gotten fuzzy. BUT, I do know that ever since that night, I have been a firm believer in UFOs.
