I got off work at 11:00 PM, and was on my way home. The weather was drizzle and light fog with calm winds. As I came around a corner in the highway in the Township of Newbold, there it was like an huge oversized cigar. It had red and blue lights on the outer perimeter of the craft, and a huge bright white light on the bottom. The craft was hovering over the top of a large tree house. The white light on the bottom was shining straight down on top of the tree house, and the light was so bright it was hard to look directly at it. The entire ground area was lit up so bright that I was able to see every twig and spear of grass on the ground within the area of the light. As I drove slowly past it, I stopped my car about an 1/8 of a mile from it as I could still see if hovering over the tree house in my rear view mirror. I shut off my engine and got out of the car. The air was dead silent and there were no other vehicles in the area. There was no noise coming from the craft. I stood and watched it about 10 minutes. It then started to move toward me at which time I got into my car to get out of there. I had trouble starting my car as it took several tries. The car did not start until the craft turned direction and started moving away from me. I immediately went home and called the Oneida County Sheriff Dept. and reported it to them. They in turn called the Oneida County Airport and and tried to see if there was anything on radar and the airport reported nothing on radar and stated that a craft that low would make it difficult for radar detection. I still think about that night every time I drive pass that area after dark.
