On this night I was staying with my father at a house he was
renting, which was a house in a farm just a few miles east of Janesville on
County A. My father was outside and I was inside watching TV, when I noticed a
bright white light across the road, very near a barn that I believe was
abandoned at the time, though it may not have been abandoned (this was just my
feeling about it). It was a warm summer night and the winters were open, but I
didn't hear a sound, and I saw the light hovering in the air right over this
barn, shining a light on the barn (a white light also). I would have thought it
was a helicopter, but for sure I would have heard it if it was, since they make
a loud racket. I thought immediately it was very strange, and I ran outside to
get the binoculars and tell my father about what I saw. By the time I got back
inside, there was no light anywhere to be seen. Mind you I was outside and back
in less than a minute. I was extremely disappointed that I !
couldn't get a better look at whatever it was, and I figured no one would
believe me. My father did seem to believe me though, and he mentioned that he
had talked with farmers outside the city who had seen things like that also.
