Details of Incident:

In the late summer, or early fall of 1977, I had just finished babysitting for our neighbors across the street. We lived between Johnsons and Armstrong Park. It was around midnight, as I walked down their driveway, I didn't even have to look up. There was this HUGE round, it looked like an enormous moon! From the angle I was standing at, it looked as though it was sitting on top of the house across the street.

It was a bright, almost florescent orange. With reddish-orange markings, that I can only describe similar to markings on the moon. I just froze there at the end of their driveway. It didn't move or make a sound. I slowly walked down the slope of the road towards my house, keeping my eyes on it all the way home. For as huge as it was, it seemed to slowly disappear. As if the angle wasn't right to see it, or maybe, I could no longer see the bright side of it.

I got to my driveway, and ran into my house. My mom was awake, but she didn't want to come out and see this thing. I asked for her camera, but she didn't have any film in it. I went back out slowly, to see if it was still there, but it was gone by then.

I was only 14 years old back then, but I'll never forget it. I wrote it down in my diary that night, but have since long lost that. I wish I knew exact date I saw that thing. I only remember the year, the weather was still nice out and I always keep a loaded camera.
