A reputable Edgerton resident who has requested anonymity has reported a
possible UFO sighting. The resident observed a "bright, white light" just
north of Janesville. The light lasted from between 30 seconds to a minute
and then suddenly went out "as though a switch had been flipped."
The
light was observed from the vicinity of the junction of County M and
Highway 51, toward the southeast on Monday, November 9, at about 7:45
p.m.
The Edgerton resident mentioned the sighting to the Rock County
Sheriff's deputy who indicated that other local residents had mentioned the
strange light. However, no one officially reported the matter to the
sheriff's department.
