Details of Incident:
It was a very clear night in July of 1991, and I had arrived at a friends house to babysit
their two children. The couple said they were leaving, and about ten minutes after I thought
they had left, she came back into the house and asked me to come outside to see something.
When I got outside I saw her husband looking up. So I looked up and saw a very dense fog. The
fog looked like it started about ten feet above the house tops. There were lights in the fog
in a circle pattern, each shining down toward the ground. Each light was about 5 feet in
diameter, and the size of the object hovering was about the size of the city block. It hovered
over a dozen houses. The five year old that I was babysitting said, is that a UFO? We
observed this for about 5 to 10 minutes, standing there in awe. Then they went to their movie,
and I went back inside, locked the doors, and shut the windows. The five year old was looking
out the kitchen window as I shut everything up. When the couple reached the movie theater
about 5 miles away, they called me and said they think they were lights from the grocery store
next to the movie theater. They had those "Hollywood" bright lights that shine in the sky and
move. But I don't think that what we saw was that at all, the lights we saw didn't move at all,
and they pointed straight to the ground. It hovered there for about a half hour, then when I
looked out the window, it was gone, and the stars were shining again. The fog came and went.
