Details of Incident:
Walking from a friends house (on Hwy. 92 between Brooklyn and Belleville) to the town of
Brooklyn, (there were four of us) my one friend and I saw, what looked to be a normal passenger
airliner, cruising at what appeared to be at least three to five miles away, no sound. The
night was cloudless and it's very free of light pollution out that way. The two of us mentioned
it's change of course to the other two, when we noticed it. They kept walking where as we
stopped. It travelled the distance between us in about one minute. It's altitude dropped to
that of what you'd normally see an ultra light or a hot air balloon would be at. As it passed
over (almost directly over our heads), the others took notice and stopped walking as well about
150 yards further up than the friend with me. What I could see was pretty much an equilateral
triangle cruising at what couldn't have been more than 60 mph or so. The lights were nothing
outrageous in brightness but I do remember the colors. Red and white. There was one in the
center of the triangle and one on each of the tips. I think the white one were on the tips and
the red in the center but it could be the other way around. And it was soundless until it was
pretty much right there. A quiet whisper. Like we were only hearing the the sound of it moving
the air it went through. Not an engine. It kept it's course and we had our words and a few holy
f$%@#'s and pretty much forgot about it.
Date and time could be off by about 1 year. It was 9 years ago about. T-shirt weather.
Strangly enough, about a year and a half ago, my friend and I were in two different cities and
both watching the same show. Some sightings thing on the discovery channel or something, and
saw a computer generated image of the exact thing we saw, almost to the "T" and called each
other at almost the same time. I was just clicking through the channels and caught it at the
very end so I didn't get any info at all. Same with my friend. Wasn't paying any attention
until the thing caught his eye on the tube. Make of it what you will. I still don't know what
to make of the thing.
