Details of Incident:
At 9:30 pm I went out outside to have a smoke and as I sat down in
my chair a bright light grabbed my attention. It looked like a very bright star,
(twice as bright as the brightest star I have ever seen).I noticed it was moving
so at first I thought it was a sattlite, but it was moving faster than a
sattlite. Then I thought maybe it was a meteor but it was not decending at all
, it held a steady horizontal course.
What I saw was a bright light (looked like a star) moving from the southwest to
the northeast at about 25 % faster than airliner traffic normally does. It was a
steady white light (non blinking) even as it passed above hazy cloud cover to
the northeast, it never faded or flickered as an airplaines lights or the light
from a star will do.
The thing that shook me up is that the light did three "manuvers" that really
defy the laws of physics. As it was traveling northeast it did two 90 degree
"shifts" to the right and then appearing slightly ahead of where it was before
the "shifts". And then it did something even stranger, it appeared to decline at
a forward angle of about 45 degrees and move downward quite a distance ahead of
itself and then "snap " back to its original postion.Soon after an commercial
airliner in the exact opposite path of travel did an abrupt turn looking like
he was turning around to follow the light, but im not sure maybe he was doing
just an ordinary banking turn. But within the next few minutes I saw three
jets follow almost the same flight path as the light i saw , and about 1 hour
later I saw three jets return from the exact opposite directions that they
traveled. Which in my mind they were following it and were returning back the
second time I saw them. I wrote down details abo!
ut flight paths of the object and the jets and all the times if someone wants to
look into radar activity in the area.
