Details: I was in my backyard (just south of Jones Island in Bay View) lying in a lawnchair looking up at the clouds at approximately 5:15 p.m. on 8/30/04.  An object appeared from above a large cloud flying from due south to north.  It was saucer-shaped, but its outer edge was quite thick and squared off.  The rim appeared to be 1/3 the height of the craft.  It was bronze in color and reflected the sunlight.  There was no sound and I did not notice any lights or protuberences.  It moved smoothly and quickly.  I observed it from roughly a 2 o'clock to 10 o'clock position in the sky until it went above another cloud.
