Details of Incident:

I was starting one of my daily routes at aprox. 4:45am. This particular route was located in the Town of Lake Geneva. Between Lake Geneva & Elkhorn Wi. As usual I started on cty hwy H just outside of Elkhorn Wi. I then turned off of hwy H onto a side road (can't recall the name at the moment but runs north/south) to bypass a bridge that has a weight restriction of 6 tons. As usual I watch the aircraft in the flightpath for Chicago's O'Hare airport approach to the south & west of my location, It was a crystal clear morning with a full moon out & plenty of aircraft spaced out from each other by about 30 seconds or so in the flight pattern. When I got to Willow Bend Rd. I turned east heading back towards Hwy H.

When all of a sudden I noticed a bright light off in the distance that I figured was located somewhat in the area of Burlington Wi. It was a realy bright light that kind of reminded me of a welder arching. It flickered in white/orange/blue colors.

At times it seemed like it had a small light source type tail flickering downward kind of what sparks look like falling from a welding rod. I watched it as I drove along. I then turned right (south) onto hwy H. I kept a close eye on this light source to see if it was in motion. About a half mile In the distance to the east of my location there was a woods that blocked my view of the light for a short time. When I got further down the road I saw the light again in the same location. It seemed to be stationary. When I got to the Palmer Rd. area I lost sight of it due to more trees etc. I turned around & headed back towards Willow Bend Rd. I noticed that the light was gone!

I turned east onto Willow Bend Rd. again & saw nothing of it. As I worked the area I kept a sharp eye on the skies & my suroundings only to find nothing!

Weeks Rd. is my most eastern route border, It was still dark out & had a good vantage point from here too, But never again did I ever see this light source again!

It most definately was "not" an airplane/helecopter etc. From my vantage points it was stationary & these were definatelly not landing lights on an aircraft!

I didn't see any form of an object as it was quite a ways away, The odd looking light was all that I had seen. Once again, The skies were very clear with a full moon out! The only clouds around were aprox. 5 mi. to the northwest of my location & well away from the light source! Total time viewing this light was about 15 min. & it never seemed to move!

Anybody else happen to see this?
