Thursday night sometime before 9:00 p.m., I was heading north on Hwy 45. As I was approaching Jackson I saw what I thought was a bright, stationary landing light from an airplane east of the Hwy. Because of the fact that it wasn't moving, I thought that it might be a bright star or a helicopter. As I passed just north of Jackson, I continued to observe the light which I thought, at this point, had to be a helicopter. There were 2 sets of blinking lights, possibly green in color, which seemed similar to those of a domestic aircraft. I did not stop to see whether it moved or eventually disappeared, which I now regret. Five minutes later, as I was passing north of West Bend, I saw the exact same type of light just east of the highway, and called 2 people in the area to ask if they had seen any helicopters in the area. Both lights appeared somewhat low, but were definitely higher than the top of a transmission tower. I was disappointed not to hear of any other witnesses to this sighting, in such relatively populated towns. I regret not calling the sheriff to mention it either.
