Me and my two friends were driving at night towards Arlington when we decided to go and stop at the bird sanctuary I knew was nearby. It was a mild summer night, beautiful, not humid and there was a faint breeze coming out of the east. We parked the car in front of their little shelter down the long driveway of the bird sanctuary. We then all decided to lay down in the grass and stare up at the sky, It wasn’t the most perfect night for stargazing as there were scattered clouds here and there. I was explaining to my two friends the basics of astronomy pointing out planets, galaxies, constellations, satellites and etc. I dunno if this was connected with what we saw but we saw the most brilliant shooting star, it was big and it came in right through a cloud lighting up the entire cloud. After that we spotted a satellite in front of the satellites path a light appeared and the satellite passed behind it. This light was at the zenith point in the sky, it was right above us. That’s when it began moving, first it was doing circles that got progressively larger The more we glanced at, the more details came into view, I'd saw it was roughly cylindrical in shape, with two bluish-green lights on the tips and one red light in the middle. It began to do more erratic movements as if it was dancing in the sky. It never strayed too far from the point where we first saw it appear. We watched its movements relative to the stars around it and yes there was an object moving around it, there was also an airplane in the sky to the northwest of the UFO and in comparison this was no airplane. We watched the UFO do crazy maneuvers that I know no airplane could do for the next thirty minutes and at 10:00pm the UFO went back to the central point where we first spotted it and then it disappeared! It just faded out. One of my friends then grew terrified and dashed to the car we all followed, got in and sped away back to our hometown of Deforest. We went back the following night with binoculars and saw nothing. There was no star in the spot in the sky where the UFO was.
There were several other strange occurrences that have happened in conjunction with this sighting, before and after....
