Details of Incident:
Saturday night (08/30/08) we were out enjoying a campfire in our backyard in West Bend. A stationary, very bright light appeared in the sky. It was lower than the stars, but much higher than any tower, etc. We went about our business and then noticed about a half hour later it had moved north. We brought out the telescope and all 4 of us observed it through the telescope for several minutes (about a half hour). In the telescope it appeared to be a brightly colored object that changed color, brightness and sometimes shape (round to oblong) It also appeared to have a power source or something. We compared it to looking like one of those science class balls you touch that has electricity and when you touch it, the current moves with your fingers. A plane flew near it and it was obviously much higher than the plane. It didn't appear to move yet it disappeared behind some pine trees and we did not see it again that night. However, my husband reported seeing it again on Monday (09/01/08). We were wondering if anyone else saw it. It was a very clear, starry night.
