Details of Incident:
I was coming home from a Christmas party around 5:20 pm and I was
driving north on S 30th ST in Manitowoc just North of the Dew Stop Inn
gas station. When I saw a small white object appear over the top of my
car. The object was moving at about 40 miles an hour I would guess. It
was faster then what I was driving and I was going 35. I'm not sure on
how high the object was but it was far enough away that I couldn't make
out any details. The object headed northeast over my car, across 30th ST
towards the old rail yards and then headed north following the railroad
tracks. The object then disappeared as it headed north. I didn't hear any
noise from the craft over the engine noise and the object did not blink.
I didn't see any tail light like an airplane would have. It was snowing
that night and it could've been a snowflake but the way it rose higher
in the sky makes me think it was unlikely that it was. This is the second
time I have sighted an object flying over the old rail yard south of Cher-make
sausage company. The rail yard is also a "lining up" point for airplanes landing
at the Manitowoc Airport so I'm not ruling out that these were planes. But by
the way they were moving I doubt that they were.
This witness did file an additional report several months ago regarding his 1st
sighting in Spring 2000
