Details of Incident:
I can not remember the exact date but it would have been summer of
2002 My wife and I and one of our friends were driving back from Mondovi to Eau
Claire on hwy 37. we were about 5 to 7 miles from EC and my wife pointed out a
very bright round emerald green light in the sky, it did not realy seam to be
moving much or at least very slow, It was seemed to be very far up but still in
our atmosphere but it was huge. In comparison to to the moon it looked to be
about a 1/4 of the size but alot closer (kind of hard to explain) it stayed like
that for about 10 seconds then seemed to just take off very fast and disapeared
behind the horizon in a few seconds like it was coming down but close as if it
was falling over the osseo area. by this time we were pulled over on the side of
the road and just sat there for a minute speechless. I am by no means any type
of expert but i have spent alot of time looking into the sky we like to go coon
hunting alot at night and we have watched the northern lights, fallling stars, many airplanes, and a few eclipses but
this was like nothing we had ever seen. Sorry for the bad description like i
said it is kind of hard to explain.
